My drawing final assignment was to research 3 artists with similar styles. I chose 3 artists with sort of similar styles, who conveyed a feeling in their art that I want in mine. I chose Alice Neel, Egon Schiele, and David Hockney. The watercolor is the Schiele, the colored pencil is the Neel and the ink is the Hockney. I am not too pleased with the Hockney. I should have not done the crosshatching. But I redrew that one several times and was disappointed with each version, and this is the one I am the least disappointed with. The Neel is stitched together with red thread and the other two fit in like puzzle pieces with that drawing.
